The tools of the trade are the skills and equipment that the teacher needs to do or use for teaching a new language properly. The teacher use different materials as everyday tools of their trade. For example: the use of puppets is very useful if the teacher wants to perform dialogues or sketches; another example is the use of paper dolls, these are very useful for teaching clothes or parts of the body. Those types of materials help the teacher to teach in a better way and children learn in an easier and fun way at the same time.

There are many tools that the teacher can use to teach the students, so that they acquire the knowledge in a better and faster way. The tools help not only the teacher at the time of teaching his class but also help students to acquire more easily the topics.

The kids learn better when the class is interesting, when the teacher use educational materials such as picture cards or drawing cards, etc. with those, children learn and develop their abilities easily. Those types of activity are especially for when children start learning a language. Pictures cards help teachers to create short dialogues, this type of activity is appropriate when the teacher needs that children practice a vocabulary or structure.
Use objects to perform dialogues is another tool the teacher use for teaching a young children also this is helpful to children to memorize a new vocabulary or structures that the pupils are learning in this time.
Another way of presenting the dialogues using objects is role play. This type of activity is basically when the pupils pretend to be another person like teacher, or shop assistant, or one of their parents, etc. but teacher can give them a model first by acting out the dialogue with Teddy and then the pupils have to repeat the sentences after the teacher. Then the pupils practice and practice until memorize the dialogue and then perform the dialogue. This type of role play is more suitable for children from eight to ten years old.

Another tool is use a card game. Playing games is easy and an excellent way to spend unhurried, enjoyable time with your pupils. Card games also are rich in learning opportunities. They satisfy children competitive urges and the desire to master new skills and concepts.
